After dropping Jamie of at the airport, went up Coronet for the big air comp. Didnt really watch it to begin with as I concentrated on getting my 2 hours in before the slopes closed. Had a few runs on the new Greengate express and tried the half pipe twice which was pretty sketchy.
After the slopes closed, I hung around to watch the big air comp. The highlight of the comp was watching the air show with my mate Dave flying the red bull stunt plane carrying out some real extreme manouveres you didnt think were possible. Cant wait for him to give me a flight in it.
The other highlight was some paragliders carrying out some extreme manouveres. 2 tandems were up carrying base jumpers only 500ft above. They detatched and were in freefall for a second or tow. Looked pretty hairy though as they were so close to the ground even before they leaped. Didnt think it was possible but it was to everyones amazement. The other spectacle was a paraglider trynna break the world speed record for a paraglider by going into a 100km/h dive which was pretty cool only a few feet above the big air ramp.
